AI Editing Assistant

iSparkClaw AI Editor includes an AI assistant powered by Claude Agent that can help you write, edit, and organize your documents.

The AI sidebar has two modes:

What it does: Ask questions and get help without changing your files.

Best for:

  • Asking questions about your document
  • Getting writing suggestions
  • Brainstorming ideas
  • Summarizing content

What it does: The AI can make direct changes to your files.

Best for:

  • Rewriting sections of a document
  • Adding new content
  • Updating multiple files at once
  • Restructuring documentation

Toggle shortcut: Press Ctrl/Cmd + M to switch between Chat and Edit mode.

When you open the AI sidebar, you’ll see quick action buttons:

  1. Type your question in the input box at the bottom
  2. Press Enter or click Send
  3. The AI will respond with helpful information
  1. Switch to Edit mode using the toggle button
  2. Describe what changes you want
  3. Review the proposed changes
  4. Accept or reject each change

When the AI proposes edits, you’ll see them highlighted:

  • Green text — New content being added
  • Red text — Content being removed
  • White text — Context (unchanged)

Click Accept to apply a change or Reject to discard it.

You can ask the AI to update multiple files at once:

“Update all references to the old API in my documentation”

The AI will show you all proposed changes across files. You can review and accept them one by one.

You can drag files into the AI sidebar to ask questions about them:

  1. Drag a file from your file tree
  2. Ask questions about its content
  3. The AI will analyze the file

Click the + button in the AI sidebar header to start a fresh conversation. This clears the history but keeps your settings.

  • Be specific about what you want the AI to do
  • Use Edit mode when you want the AI to make changes
  • Review all proposed changes before accepting
  • Ask follow-up questions if the results aren’t what you expected
